Don’t Do It If You Don’t Love It!

For a lot of people work is a mind-numbing, body-sucking drain of time and energy that is scarcely tolerated so that hopefully, one day, a few minutes of joy can be purchased before returning ’back to the grindstone’. Why? Frequently the cause is a misplaced belief that life is some kind of horribly bitter cough medicine, which, only if endured frequently and regularly, becomes ‘good for you’. We believe that there is no redoing this life, that humans were not created for endless misery. This existence is not a dry run for the next, so please stop wasting your time.

Every moment you waste putting off doing something you love is time you will never get back. Don’t spend countless days stressed and bored completing repetitive tasks. Doing something you love is life-changing for you and everyone you meet. Change one person (you!) and change the world forever.

‘Do what you love’ is not a new idea. We’ve all heard this before, but what people miss is that every second of delay becomes a minute, an hour, a day, and a lifetime. There is urgency, so start doing something now — in this next moment — that you love. Take a piece of paper ‘now’, and write down what you would really like to be doing. Use it as a bookmark while you continue reading this book. Now put the book down, and don’t come back until you’ve done something you love. Remember, someone really important is watching your every move — you. So no cheating. Go do something you love, something you’ve been putting off for far too long.

And remember to dream big: you deserve it!

If I’m not absolutely passionate about what I do everyday then I’m going to change what I do to something else that I am passionate about
